SBS was founded by two veterans, Joel L.A. Peterson and Gus Giacoman, to create an institutional solution to problems they found affecting our military and society.

Role Description
The executive director operationalizes the vision of the CEO
The executive director assists in developing strategy and is responsible for strategic implementation
The executive director develops or coordinates development of materials and plans necessary to implement the strategy
The executive is responsible for achievement of milestone deliverables to the appropriate quality standards and identifying any risks / mitigation measures necessary to achieve milestones
Assist the CEO in identification and development necessary partnerships and relationships with key civilian, military, and department of defense stakeholders
Responsibilities
The executive director is responsible for implementing the vision and strategy of the CEO and assisting in the development of the vision and strategy. To facilitate this, the executive director is also responsible for operational / program planning and management. In the short-term, this involves executing the activities necessary to bring VIP into existence.
Key responsibilities include:

Role Description
The CEO serves as SBS’s overall leader and provides oversight and accountability for all of SBS’s goals
The CEO develops the vision and mission for SBS
The CEO supervises any / all P&L and functional heads and is responsible for achievement of VIP strategic goals and financial performance in the long term
Specific to this project, the CEO will provide guidance on the business model and structure of SBS in its initial and intermediate stages
Provide leadership guidance / coaching to Executive Director (added this one for me, feel free to remove)
Identify and develop necessary partnerships and relationships with key civilian, military, and department of defense stakeholders
Responsibilities
The CEO is responsible for developing the vision and strategy and guiding execution. The CEO is also responsible for working with the executive director to ensure operational / program planning success and to help identify the team and resources necessary to achieve strategic goals. In the short-term, this involves building a team and guiding and developing the activities necessary to bring VIP into existence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop vision
- Develop strategy in coordination with the executive director
- Make strategic decisions (e.g. which job to pursue for the pilot)
- Identify high level plan and milestones in coordination with the executive director
- Allocate / determine resource needs as appropriate
- Manage or delegate management of resources to executive director as appropriate
